Maddie, bless her loving heart, is an idiot. I love her, but tonight she gave me a heart attack. We'd been dealing with the happy tail syndrome for a bit now, and it was healing wonderfully... however  this evening she decided she no longer wanted her tail wrapped. All evidence shows she possibly used the corner of the couch to support her side, so ( Read more... )

Oh Maddie. So far Duchess only chases her tail, catches it and releases it. We've never had a bout of happy tail, thankfully. I couldn't afford it. Here is to a speedy recovery and hopefully a lesson learned. *hugs*

We couldn't afford it either.
It was my ENTIRE paycheck. I cannot pay my bills now. :/

Amen to that sister. I'm afraid to see what Wednesday is going to cost. Thankfully the hospitals let you set up payment plans. My vet doesn't do that. And of course I don't have pet insurance on anyone, b ut I have consiered it for Duchess. I just couldn't find someone I trusted enough that I could addord... ugh. Pets. Like men you can't live with them and you sure as hell can't live without them. ;)

omg that's horrifying!!! I always imagine that to happen with riley because he has extreme happy tail. The tip of his tail no longer has fur (looks like a rat tail) cuz it was frost-bitten from before I had him, but he cracks it open alll the time. And he chases and chews his tail if he feels you're not paying enough attention to him-THANKGOD he doesnt bother with his tail when he's alone!!

POOR MADDIE! and poor you! omg.
