So a lj friend's rats had babies, and I lovingly decided  I would provide one with a home... but I know ratties do much better in social pairs or groups so I set off hunting for a unique roomate for the new arrival (which is all really a huge Xmas surprise for my daughters).
Well tonight I brought this guy home with me. . .

OMG is he CUTE!!!!! Look at his little whiskers - they look like walrus whiskers! I posted telling you that little blue hood is a girl, but I don't think you got the notification in your email. (I havent been getting comment notification in my email for a couple weeks now and I assume it's being the same way for everyone.)

Anyhow - I have one blue hood who is a male. I'll try to get a picture of him. He's cute and very sweet and in fact was the first to open his eyes just today!

I just can't get over how CUTE your new little bald one is! I want one...but I won't. That would just be foolish.

I know - last thing I needed was another set of mouths to feed, but damnit... cute.
phooey on my babe being a girl, if baldy over here wasn't the only little bald baby in the freakin tank all alone and shivering, I'd have gotten a female too (didn't want to explain testicles to my kids anyway). lol but this will be just as well :)

I did read, but quickly at work... I need to read it and take my time this time.
I reckon I think this hairless pooper is a total babe.
But then again, my idea of beautiful differs greatly from popular opinion!

I had rats in high school. They make much better pets than hamsters or gerbils!
This lil guy is a heart throb... well if you are into walrusy looking naked rats.

I LOVE rats! If I had room and knew my dogs wouldn't eat them, I'd get another pair. They are so social :)

Yea I have to be extra vigilant around my pooches, but they leave the birds alone (never out of the cages when dogs are in room though).
I wasn't planning on this, but he's pretty cute. :)
