Take your car... it hasn't been in salt yet.
The porcies like to chew the wires under the cars because of the road salt.

Everyone I know has had wires chewed... and since you are going alone you probably don't want to get stranded up there.

About Kira getting evaluated, I think it's great that is finally going to happen.
Maybe if Tom would've gotten the help he needed early on he wouldn't be such an idiot, asshat today!

Good luck with all... maybe I'll take a ride up on Saturday, and drop in on you guys. LOL!

It is sooooooo good to go alone. IT is VERY bonding. I think it will be REALLY good for you. You will come back tired, relaxed, dirty, and feeling connected.

tarp, tent, insulation mat to go under the sleeping bags so you don't lose most of your bodyheat to the ground, sleeping bags. those unscented baby wipes. a small broom. first aid kit. water in case the sites have none. a shovel and biodegradable tp. bandanas, sunblock. camping chairs. pots pans. food. firewood. matches/firestick lighter things.
newspaper.
books to read, playing cards. music. drawing pads. camera + film.

Uh ya. sorry. didn't mean to get carried away there. anyhow, have fun camping! It sounds like it'll be a nice get away for you both.
and that's awesome they are going to evaluate her for the dyslexia.

Bug repellant!

It's been hot, and the flies by the stream WILL be biting!
Make sure you take something for the dogs too, or they will get attacked.

I've seen Takoda's ears bleeding from those nasty bugs.
