Rayne 2010 Summer Challenge - Rules and Sign-Up.
Thanks to everyone who signed up for the Rayne 2010 Summer Challenge. I really appreciate people getting involved in this. However, there are still a number of unclaimed prompts. So if anyone new wants to join in, feel free! Or if your works are going well, you can pick up an extra prompt. Of course, I'll be more lenient with the due dates to those signing up a little later.
Plus, I added a new rule that I forgot to mention before: All works must be at least 100 words. And if you're doing art, at least an icon. Nothing less, please.

1.) It should be your own work. Don't show it to anybody (except a beta) until you post it.
2.) The works are due in the first week of August. That gives us around a month to finish. The posting dates are from Sunday, August 1 to Saturday August 7.
3.) If you sign up, do your prompt. I know that sounds like a no brainer, but you'd be surprised. If you need an extension or need to bow out, PM or e-mail me! I'm very understanding, I swear. Don't leave me wondering.
4.) There is no wrong way to do your prompt. You can do anything. I've seen all types of writing and art. And even fanmixes. If you want some idea of what people do, you can look at the master list of the 2009 Fall Challenge here. You can take the prompt/quote literally or metaphorically. You can work them into your work, or just hint at it. It's up to you.
5.) I decided to do both quotes and single word prompts. The quotes are a mix of poems, quotes, proverbs, and song lyrics. They come from the 1700's to 2009. The first 25 are the single word prompts. The second 25 are the quotes. You can pick from only one list, or from both. The poll was close with some people wanting a mix, so I incorporated both.
6.) Please pick a number that hasn't been claimed yet. I want to cover all the prompts. Truly Random Number Generator picked #41 for me. After you pick your number, I will add your name to the list and PM you your prompt. You can pick as many prompts as you'd like, but please be reasonable and realistic about what you can do.
