This was so cute and you are so right, there is a huge lack of Rayne ficage. Very sad...sigh.....thanks for sharing this little diddy with those of us who are fic starved.

I’ve known your pa since before you were even a twinkle in his eye.

I found this line so very deep. Because Jayne was all hard hearted until River came along and softened his heart and let him dream of things he thought weren't possible like having children.

Yeah, I think River was so advanced as a child that she probably wouldn't really consider not explaining things scientifically, and I think Jayne would want his kids to know about how the world really works.
