yeah i don't like the term "binky" either! i loved this though, poor jayne mustive had a heart attack! :D

Binky. It's a weird word. Like more baby talk for parents.

Jayne definitely panicked, but somewhat justifiably so.

Very clever. I've never thought about that before, but now, I'm sure I'll never hear binky the same way again. :P

I used to hate the term, but that's what all of my aunts and uncles use so I've kind of gotten used to it. Little ones wouldn't know "pacifier" so now I'm in the habit of saying "binky" instead. >_<

I'm not sure how I feel about Jayne and River using the name Tabitha, but I do love the name. It's on my list.

Aha! My plan has worked!

Why I chose Tabitha? I don't know. A friend and I were talking about "Bewitched" last night and since River is also called Little Witch, Tabitha stuck in my head (she's Samantha's daughter on "Bewitched"-FYI). So it's one of those spur-of-the-moment names.

That actually is a good connection. I didn't think of the "little witch" thing. I'm actually very familiar with Bewitched. It's my favorite show besides Firefly! :D I think I'm just so used to thinking of a little blonde girl with that name that I had trouble picturing a dark-haired River-Jayne baby. :P
