This is sort of a spin on the Lyrics/Song prompt idea…

The community could poll together and suggest music that echoes Jayne, River or both. Then a song from the collection could be randomly assigned to each participant to create fic/vids/graphics based on the lyrics and or mood of the song.

It would also be interesting to throw a couple instrumental pieces into the mix to challange folk.

The music suggested could be uploaded by the prompt giver or also found through free music sites like Imeem.

I think that would be really neat! Especially with the instrumental suggestion!

Ooh, I second that. I think that would be very interesting - and yes, the instrumental pieces would be mega-hard to write with (for me, at least) I think it's an awesome idea. (I have one instrumental piece in mind, actually...)

That actually sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to give an instrumental interpretation a go. OR! Try something that's not in English! I know an Andrea Bocelli song that'd be fun to fit a fic to.

How about a spin on the fairytale one? Each participant is assigned a fairytale or a myth. Then, they'll be given one to two days for research. After that, they're given a deadline for which to make the Rayneverse fit into said fairytale or myth.

I know lots of interesting wrold myths we could try out.

Do you have a link to a list or description? I'd like to take a look at the myths available since it seems to be winning so far.

Um, no, but I have a dictionary of mythology and a book of world mythology. *smiles sheepishly* But I'm sure that if you name something, I could probably find a myth for it. I was just saying it would be a cool idea. I meant like, you give them a subject like "why the sky is blue" or "how the leopard got its spots" and the participants do a day or so of internet research to find myths and whatnot about it. Then, when they have it, they have to translate it to a Rayne fic. Thst's what was going on in my head when I posted the original comment. Sorry.

Will future prompts be open to graphics like the last one?

Yes. It is my intention to try and word every challenge so that all media can be submitted. For themes like Fantasy/etc & Baby!fic it will definitely give our graphics people a chance to showcase their photoshop-manipping skills.

As for other challenges, I may take a page from the jayne_stills comm and submit pics/lyrics/etc. as inspiration to fit the theme so that everyone can participate.
