Personal announcement, then some other fun stuff

Hey everyone. As I'm sure you've probably heard by now, the future of Drawn Together is very much in doubt at the moment. Right now things are looking pretty bleak for the show, but I just want to make an announcement regarding my own work so everyone will know where things stand. No matter what happens with the show itself, I do NOT plan to stop ( Read more... )

whee subtext, announcement, we are so disturbed, random acts of randomness

remember reading these! Wow, this is almost a year ago!

And yeah, what Nicole said on the board, thanks again for ALL that you're doing to keep the show alive! And I *promise* I'm going to try my hand at fanfic ideas I had, as well as the sketches, but unfortunately I won't hit that nice lull till the summer. In the meantime I can write the short fun stuff like the alternate version of Parking Space. Oh, and I'm glad you liked the Toot/Clara exchange from the other day, that was fun :)

Like I was telling her the other night, there's no way I could NOT continue things at this point. Stopping was never even an option. I'm glad for the response you guys have given me, though. A lot of what motivates me to keep going is the appreciation you guys show for all my efforts. Thanks again.

I'd definitely love to see any fanfic stuff you could come up with, whether it's something short and simple like the Toot/Clara exchange from the board or something more involved. But I understand that having the proper free time is definitely a factor. It's a factor for me also; fortunately I've never been REALLY busy to the point of not having enough time to write.

It's a major factor for me right now, working full time AND working on my certifications with the deadline for the requirements being July 1st. Sounds like a lot of time, but it isn't. I don't have the workload Nicole does, but I'm sure it's close. I've turned down events, road trips, ect, for the sole purpose of finishing my certifications. That's how badly I want this career change. If I land a hospital job where I can do harp therapy 20-30 hours a week, I'll have time for my hobbies, writing being one of them. I have two manuscripts I want to dust off and re-write. And I'd like to start painting again.

In the meantime, all work and no play is just boring. So I'll post some small goodies here and there when I can :)
