^-^ Yeah! You felt well enough to read it. *looks at the time in Ree's banner* Oh gosh! It's that late already? And here I was thinking to get at least two more done. *sigh* Oh well.
Glad you liked it, dear. And yes, of course it was hot chocolate. What other hot drink would you put whipped cream on? Hahaha...
Excellent fluff! Its so simple and yet so human to seem them like that in their past forms. And it mirrors the way they meet in the anime; recuring themes like that are always excellent signs of meetings with destiny. Very good job on this story!
^-^ Except it was their future forms. Yeah! I was trying to trick people with the last line being the give away. Looks like I did it a little too well, hahaha. Glad you liked it!
Haha, there were a couple of hints that this was NeoQueen Serenity and King Endymion actually. 1) He was watching her from the Palace (although I'd hope people would decide it was Artemis until he found her in town). 2) She pulled napkins from a dispenser on the table. I just don't associate paper napkins with the Golden Kingdom, so maybe that one was just me. And 3) after listening to the irritated reprimands from their friends, they decide to do it again. Hmmm... Maybe that wasn't as much of a give away as I thought. They could have been scolded separately and then snuck away to meet up later in the day in spite of it. But, it was supposed to be the senshi (and maybe Shitennou) scolding them together. ^-^
Wonder if I tricked Ree? *doubts it* She's so onto my twists and tricks probably not, but if I fooled her I can fool anyone.
Ok I read this again and I didn't see this being their future forms. For instance, you address her as Serenity. That was the name she went by in the Moon Kingdom, but I'm pretty sure that in the future she's would go by Neo Serenity to symbolize a new queen in a new era. Unless this is just another detail I missed in the manga

Hmmm... That is never stated in the manga one way or the other. In my mind, she would not think of herself as Neo Serenity or Neo Queen Serenity. She probably would use either Serenity or Usagi. Since I was trying to keep the time line a mystery (and because it is consistent with my other Crystal Tokyo stories), I used Serenity. The same with Endymion. I guess it's just preference.
The sneaking like a teenager (or an adult who doesn't want to get caught doing something they know they shouldn't be) and the lack of description, again, was intentional. The dialogue and their interaction in the coffee/tea shop was their way of playing (flirting) with each other and reliving their past when they were younger and more carefree.
*shrugs and smiles* Sounds like I did just what I intended to do: drag a bright, pretty red herring. I shall have to see if I can make it more obvious by saying King Endymion when I first name him. Not that it really matters what era it occurs in, but if I don't specify clearly enough my original intent of
