I'm really glad it turned out that way. Too bad the right decision wasn't obvious enough to avoid a court battle, but at least it turned out well.

Now the boy can choose whether he wants cosmetic penis surgery as an adult. Which is exactly as it should be.

Fabulous wisdom. Now that we know the anatomy of the foreskin (Dr. J R Taylor, British Journal of Urology, '96 and '99)is an organ and a nerve plexus and Judge Kaplan has ruled against a child having surgical destruction of his foreskin maybe more parents will follow suit.
