I've read it. I appreciate that it was cleverly done. (I don't like crack fic. I don't find it amusing. So I'm a freak.) But I can see that some work did go into it, and that it was well done - if you like that kind of thing

I'm leaving the H_H gift bit since I'm still spitting nails on that.
Re: the SSS ... I'm sorry you felt like that. I'd have totally made the changes to the post if I had got the fic in, but I hope you realise that I need to make sure that everyone does get a fic and unfortunately, I didn't hear back from you so I had to make a decision.
I don't blame you for not submitting your gift though ... just so you know.
As for the end of your post? What the fuck? Don't you dare! You have potential and you can write a lot better than a fair few people in fandom. Ignore those comments, because if you leave, then they've won. If you stay and write and write well, that's you winning. That's you proving that this LJ, your journal is your place for your thoughts.
I don’t think I’ve ever talked to you before as I don’t talk much in fandom in general but I did stumble upon this unfortunate incident and I feel compelled to comment upon it
( ... )
I bet this would be a really convincing apology if you hadn't made that post about how cool you are for running her out of fandom and how ungrateful she is for not appreciating all your effort.
As I have no interest in hijacking Raven's LJ, I will only say this:
When I found out that Raven threatened to quit the fandom after reading my fic, I made a post saying that it was hilarious that my 1800 word fic, which was intended as a gift, would drive someone out of the fandom.
However, I thought it over in view of posts from mahaliem and lizard_spots, and deleted the entry in its entirely this morning. I subsequently posted this apology when I decided that was the right thing to do. I never said she was ungrateful, but I was honestly taken aback by her very extreme response. Hence, my post.
Considering you were running around that thread, gloating how you drove RR out of the fandom in less than 1800 words, and that she has no sense of humor, your apology now is meaningless.
You're only sorry there are so many people who realize you're a grade-A asshat and have called you on it rather than coo at how cool you are, you're not actually sorry you acted like one.
As the co-author of this fic, I too apologize. It was never our intent to be mean-spirited and hurtful. Arrmaitee and I simply share a twisted sense of humor, and our only purpose was to provide you with what we thought was a humorous fic. In hindsight, our fic seems both ill-conceived and foolish. But please let me assure you that there was no mean-heartedness to it. We simply (and wrongfully) thought we were being funny.
I am sorry for any hurt this has caused you. Again, this was truly not our intent.
But please, don't leave the fandom on our account. Trust me, we're not worth it.
Psst. That would be more believable if everyone couldn't see the author's note, and the undisguised spite in it.
But feel proud! I don't even belong to LJ's Potter fandom and I've already heard about this incident. It's the talk of three mailing lists I belong to already. Your names are making the rounds, babycakes, and you two assholes will get to taste the sweet sweet social disdain you've got coming to you.
you would probably feel bitter too if the story that you spent so much time writing was then rejected by pretty much the whole fandom and the author said she hated it. I mean come on, so it wasn't the right place to post it but he was obviously to caught up in the fun of writing it to notice. And are these gift communities really only for the receiver, other people thought it was funny, I thought it was funny. I think everyone needs to lighten up, it's just fandom...

Don't let anyone else win, Kathy.
