The TEST
Today I had the much awaited Driver's License test..
I failed.. He He He..
Major reason to fail - the backing up of the car when it was made to stand close to the curb..
First time: I backed up a bit with my head over my shoulder looking the rear side of the car, later when I turned my head - I realized that I am no longer parallel to the curb, the rear end of the car was on the traffic lane :(
Second time: How could I do injustice to the other side.. So, went & touch the curb this time.. lol..
Third time: It was not bad, parallel but was a lil away from curb[more than 18 inches]
So, here he said that you need to practice this more..
Once he said that I was assured that I'd have to make an other appointment to take the test again :)
And after this point, I drove the way back to the License office - the way I wanted.. He He..
Luckily I have a valid Indian 4 wheeler license due to which I am issued a temporary driver's permit & I am good to drive.. [ I think this is the reason why I was not too very bothered :) ]
I urge ppl who are coming to US to get an Indian license before arriving here. It helps a lot.. Else, life can be miserable.. Mano can explain more on that..
