2. NASCAR is a driving sport here in the US. Like how NFL is the National Football League and the NBA is the National Basketball League. I don't know if NASCAR stands for anything [I bet it does though], I just know it's one of the main topics on the sports news xD

3. Witness Protection Program is this "program" that people get into when they get into trouble. It's associated with the US Marshal Service and it's usually for people who are in serious trouble/under the threat of criminals.

Like .. If someone was to get involved with a major crime group [like to be chased after xD not to become one of their members], they would go under the witness protection program, change their appearance [hair color, etc], change their last name, erase their old identity and go into "hiding" basically, to be safe from whoever's after them.
