It was a great episode, and it did have me fooled for a bit, then worried I was wrong about been fooled, and then glad I was right!

Peter's face when Anne was telling him she held more sway with Louis then what he supposed was wonderful, as his face when he caught Anne with Aramis - yes you could see the wheels turning over and he now knows he has something on her. While I can't wait to see him on Doctor Who, its Moffat, who seems to be running out of ideas and just being all fanboy'y and harking back to the classic doctor.

Sarazin got killed (I think)

and another moment that made me wish that Merlin could have had better writers - the final moment between Athos and Milady, where he utters I made her what she is now. (and he lets her go, not just plunging a sword into her middle) 'argghh, *wishes I could wipe S5 from memory ( ... )

Sorry it's taken so long to reply!

That was a rather eerie similarity: both men taking responsibility for the state of their significant other, both holding her at their mercy, and yet one choosing to spare her and the other killing her.

If there was going to be one final nail in the coffin that drove home how the show-runners felt about women, that's the one!
