Ron didn't say flat out that Ernie did it. He just suspects him. For fucksakes...let the boy have a suspect. Crimes don't get investigated without suspects. I suspect the pervert as well.
suspect verb 1. To surmise to be true or probable; imagine: I suspect they are very disappointed. 2. To have doubts about; distrust: I suspect his motives. 3. To think (a person) guilty without proof: The police suspect her of murder.
So what exactly is your point, Padma? You've listed what I already know.
1. I think that it is true or probable that Ernie has something to do with my sister's disapearance. 2. I have doubts about and distrust Ernie. 3. I think Ernie is guilty without proof. Only I had a nice amount of evidence that could leave to him being proved as the culprit.
Don't just assume, or suspect, that Ernie did these horrible things just because of some perverted letters. Your 'evidence' doesn't prove that he attacked Seamus or that fourth year Hufflepuff.
Something that's been bothering me about this whole letter business is...how do we know Ernie even sent them? Lavender said she got it by mail which means anyone could have sent it and signed Ernie's name. And no one knows how Ginny got her letters. If Ernie didn't hand them directly to either girl, maybe he didn't even write them.
And, really, thank you for trusting me. It means a lot.
Well then miss investigator. Ernie's name is on the letters, and that is why we suspect him. Did you think that all of this just came out of thin air? We aren't stupid enough to accuse someone without reasonable evidence.
Hun, I'm so confused but Susan has a point. What if someone else sent the owls and signed Ernie's name, trying to...I don't know...frame him? Who in their right mind would do that? Very possibly someone who is not in their right mind.
The only way we'll know for sure is if someone physically shows Ernie, Susan or Hannah the letters. They can see if it really is his handwriting. Or just ask the bloke. This is all getting unnecassarily out of hand. Made even more complicated with our confinment to our House areas.
