A few weeks a go, around dinner time, my wife said,
"I'm Hungry."
"What do you want to eat?" I asked.
"Pancakes."
"Ha! No really. What do you want to eat?"
"Pancakes."
"Ok, I'll be right back." So I went to the grocery store bought some Bisquick and made pancakes for the first time.
Wife was happy.
"I love brinner. Thank you Honey."

I also highly recommend learning to make crepes (it's popover batter, essentially) and simply make savory ones. Half or less of the usual sugar, and add something like a little parsley or basil. Then wrap a salad in it. French favorite.
