I'm getting confused about this show. Alison from Spares told me the gig's on Saturday, 21 July, but the Blood & Velvet website says it's on Friday, 20 July. If it's the Saturday I'm seeing Emilie Autumn and def can't make it. Any idea which is correct??

Rome Burns are playing Blood and Velvet on the friday night (July 20th).

The Ghost of Lemora and Spares are playing the same venue on the saturday night (July 21st).

The BnV myspace page is a little misleading because they've not replaced the TBC in front of "The Ghost of Lemora" yet (nor added Spares to the entry!).

Quitting the smurks: Cup-a-soups. And avoid the caffeine as it just makes withdrawel worse. 2 weeks of ouch, and then you'll get used to it and it'll just be what to do with your hands. Hence the cup-a-soups ;)

Smoking cup-a-soups? Wouldn't have thought of that one. Cheers!

One question though - any particular flavours? I can't imagine rolling would be very easy if you go for one with peas in!

;D

Joking aside - ta for the tip!

And make sure your good mrs is there to massage your shoulders and back. That's where you feel it the most. Very crampy. May even be worth buying a little massager doobrey or one to put in a seat.

After that it's sheer force of will I'm afraid :)
