Uhh, even disregarding the stupid "prissy miss perfect" thing, WTF Snape/Lily without questionable moral drama isn't fucking Snape/Lily BUT OKAY OKAY.

All the pensieve scenes we get show James and Sev making mistakes and doing undesirable deeds, and show Lily correcting them and basically insinuating that both boys were worthless until Love of the Holy Lily changed them for the better (Say goodbye to complex character development!).

Huh? Lily didn't correct shit. She told them off for their stupidity but it was up to them to change for the better. And lolz at the worthless part. Goddamn, bb gurl gives her opinion of their gross behavior and all of a sudden she's OMG SO FUCKING AWFUL WHAT A BITCHASAURUS.

Yes, I noticed Fictionalley Park is home to a whole lot of crazies in this fandom. Funny thing though, I've been checking out fanfiction from that site for years. I just never bothered to go into the forums much. I'm glad I don't.

I've run into those kinds of comments once or twice. I think character bashing, especially to that degree, is just stupid and inconsiderate. Though that's probably why FAP has their own character bashing threads, but why promote the negativity? Aren't we supposed to be fans who to love the books? O_o

Though I found this comment toward Lily the most disturbing since this person is supporting abuse/violence against a woman from her own son and husband.

Well, if anything, this is the first time I've seen posts where James is mentioned along with Snape and he isn't getting as much flack as Lily. And this isn't just coming from Snape fans or defenders.

That's because James is a guy.

I used to be somewhat active on FAP. Yeah, sadly, some of the most wanky posters are older fans. But you can start a character-bashing thread for any random character, and get a few people to chime in with, "Yes, you're totally right, Cedric Diggory was a loser who deserved to die!"
