I just bought a ticket to the Sydney AHBL2 con!!!

I'm sort of terrified because crowds= MEEP!

But in the end I couldn't pass up the chance to watch a certain crazy man entertain a room full of fans in person.

I didn't even think of that, what time does this thing finish? I should probably check these things shouldn't I?

Just read the info and it looks like I don't have to stress quite so much, there's no photography allowed in the venue at all now. Which sucks hardcore but means I don't have to worry about the epic flash fest when the actors come on stage. I was seriously worried about seizures from that. Watching the con vid from last year makes me feel really icky until they stop the flash photography after 5 mins. *huge sigh of relief*

Am still going to take my camera just in case though. :)

Will definitely come around after, looks like it ends around 6:30pm but Jim's panel finishes earlier. Not sure what happens at these things or if I'll want to hang around after his panel.

SQUEE!!! I'm so glad you're going. I think you'll have a wonderful time. I don't even know who else will be there (except not Richard *sad for you*) but I've seen video from last year and it looked like a fun time was had. I expect lots of photos and a big narrative report when you get home, young lady!!! *dances and twirls*

Yeah, am definitely looking forward to it now. Will be taking my camera despite the fact it says no photography of any kind. Which is a total Aus-wankery thing. Grrr. Just not sure if I'll be able to get any photos. :(

And lordy if Richard were going I'd have bought a ticket first day they were available. I may have even shelled out for an upgraded ticket.

No photos at all? WTF is that all about. I get the no flash photography during the Q&A sessions 'cuz hello blind the guests much, but what about elsewhere. How many security guards can one convention have. They won't be able to stop everyone! Down with the establishment!!!!!
