The first installment was everything I thought it would be. Action packed, fountains of blood, and revenge, bloody, revenge. It's short, well-paced, and has a decent cast and story.

The second... doesn't feel like a movie in and of itself. It more or less exists to set up the sequel so the majority of the plot points are made are never resolved or ( Read more... )

First Squad is what happens when Russian storytellers hire Japanese anime studios to animate their work. The result is a beautiful looking picture with a compelling story line.
