Polymer clay canes

Aug 27, 2008 00:36

OKay so these are overdue pictures, but I thought for the crafty folks, they might want to see what polymer clay beads look like before they're sliced and in some instances rolled up. Here are some of my current canes!

(Also, I finished some really cute clay seafolk...I'll be posting them as soon as my camera stops sucking!!)

Now....bedtime!

I have never been able to do canes and keep an internal design go you!

Thanks!

The trick is to squish evenly and not to roll. Most people roll when they first start and it twists the image inside.

I was thinking about trying to find a place that would let me teach poly clay classes.

Maybe it would be worth looking into.

Thanks!!!

I am making my mom a rosary out of the rose and cross beads. We'll see how that turns out!

It's amazing what people can make with these canes!! I've seen some pretty amazing ones!!!

Those are really cool! I'd love to watch you make them sometime. And I can't wait to see your seafolk.
