Here we have the tale of of two best friends who fall in love. What is wonderful about this story is that it makes me a) immediately want to re-watch the ENTIRE series in a massive binge and then plow through every SN story I ever liked, and b) have a mental screening of the story as the script for a last season of SN in which Dan and Casey fall in ( Read more... )

Yay! I checked my file of SN bookmarks, and this is one I haven't read yet. Granted I haven't read a lot of SN fic.

It's a fun, fun story, in a very SN way. Intense, but hot, too. Mainly, I love it because I can see the coming together happening this way.

I love this fic--so, so much. When I first got into SN, she'd taken her site down and the main archive was offline, etc., etc., so it took me literally probably a year to actually read it after first hearing about it. The wait was so worth it.

You're totally right about the spot-on dialogue and characterization (beyond Dan and Casey, I envy her Natalie like crazy), and about it inspiring a jones for mainlining the whole series immediately upon finishing.

"Semaphore" is pretty good too, yes?

(*is an admittedly dorkishly big Helen fan*)

Yes, "Semaphore" is always satisfying to re-read. :)

BTW, have you ever checked out the fan wiki article on the SN fandom? I was such a fly-by-night lurker that I had no clue about most of those details:
