My second attempt at drawing people and trying to make them look realistic. I think this one took me 3 days from start to finish.  Dean/Castiel this time XD Still not happy with how I draw stubble :/ But I think I'm getting good at drawing Castiel's ears XD

Once again, I am impressed with your skills.

My only concrit. is that their positioning in the pic is a bit awkward. Like it would look better if they were both nose to nose instead of having Dean's off to the side.

And I know what you mean, I'm thinking that maybe I should alter that. I really wanted to have them fully into the kiss, but the angle just isn't right, so I guess I'll just have to draw another one, lol.

Form wise - *whistles* Very well done. Castiel's forehead is perhaps a bit too rounded - it could slope into his hair line a little more. But your lighting is really phenomenal. o_o

In terms of connection, I realize you're working off reference pictures, but I think the draft with Dean's eyes closed felt a little more authentic to me. If you adjust Cas' eyeline slightly so that he doesn't seem to be looking past Dean, it might have a little more connection?

All in all, though - wow. o_o ♥

Yeah I wasn't sure about the eyes closed one, as I didn't have a reference for Dean's eyes like that. But that's what I had wanted in the first place as, like you said, there's more of a connection and is more authentic, and it also got round the fact that Dean's eye isn't quite looking straight at Cas's and vice versa, lol. I will attempt to line up their eyes a bit :)

Your skintone and coloring are absolutely gorgeous - I especially love the subtle detail of their eyes and eyelashes - I also think you did a great job with the stubble, its always a freaking hard thing to emulate. I think as the previous poster said, if you had their eyelines match, it would make them connect much better in the picture. I also see that the reference pics you were working off were cropped close, so both Dean and Castiel's heads are too flattened (The hair would expand off of the skull-line). Absolutely lovely work otherwise!

LOL, I don't think I'll ever be happy with how I draw their stubble, it's just too painstaking to get every little bit :P
Yeah I'm going to try and adjust their eye lines, should make the image look a lot better. And thanks for the tips :)

I gotta say, I prefer the one with Dean's eyes closed. It's more intimate. They just seem to be staring past each other otherwise. Though Cas' eyes being open make sense because he's just an awkward guy lol

Still, WOW. You have some serious skill. Love the job you did on the lips especially. :)

Yeah I agree, I was a little uncertain of that one though, as I didn't have any reference to draw Dean's eyes closed from. I have changed it though, so hopefully it looks okay :)
