Yeah, we (me &
verbotenwidow) made it to Edinburgh, were absolutely awestruck over how gorgeous it was, and then realized that our brains were completely melted and that the prospect of another museum was likely to make us explode. So we chose the obvious alternate route -- watch something braindead-friendly: Pirates 3!
(
And then, bizzarely, it actually made us think. Spoilers! )

It's so much better than two, two's left to die in the dust where it belongs, though as you say, it is still flawed. But nothing about this film made me cringe in embarrassment for the cast while I was watching, which always helps.

ooh, I liked this movie so much xD I'm spazzy about it. In my opinion, it made up for the crappiness of #2.
I also can't help liking Beckett. And it's not the usual "bad guy fixation"... it's that... were the movie not from a piratey point of view, he'd be a hero. Same with Norrington. The goal of making the seas safe from pirates is kind of... a good one. Urm, unless you're Elizabeth and think that naughty men are sexy. It also amuses me that my dad called Beckett "that little boy" haha oy. I want a little Beckett to keep in my pocket. Also, I really want to know what he and Jack had goin' on before the movies. What with the BRANDING and all the hinting of BETRAYAL... and how Jack's the thing Beckett wants most, and and and...
um, have fun with your paper

i'm glad that you're still, here, but you may want to edit your user interests. they are targeting yaoi and slash intrests too. -.-
thought i would warn you, and also, that you may like to use this icon, as you are a PotC fan too, and the song seems to almost be the unofficial theme song for the protesters of said strikedown.
glad you enjoyed the move, and i would really like to read that fic with Will and Calypso.
