someday I need to lay off the markers

Not part of fanart50 this time, but I can't seem to lay off the Trigun art recently. I took one of the re-inks of a manga page I'd done forever ago and colored it with Prisma markers. (I'm learning to adore those things...)

VERY nice. I love the shading on the coat especially! And the use of the red on the feathers is interesting... not a colour I'd have ever thought of using there (I was thinking blue or even yellow) but it kinda works.
So very, very cool!

Heh, eh, errrr... yeah. I have this thing where I can't resist throwing some blood into just about all my fanart, which I really need to stop because it feels like a crutch. Like, the colored pic of Tessla originally just had a bandage, and then I was like, Ohhh, a little red heeere... for something like 10, 15 minutes, until she was all bloody. Same thing here -- I did the feathers last and I was sick of doing very careful shading, and it hurt my brain to try to do something smart and artsy with them, so... they got the ubiquitous blood treatment. But I'm glad it works visually. I thought it kinda tied the red of the coat to the other side of the picture (or that's how I justify it...).
