So is it just me or are all the major pairing circles in the Heroes fandom just kinda icky? Peter/Claire, Peter/Nathan (Petrelli/anything=bleh), Hiro/Nikki (UH NO WTF), just... bleck. Guess it's one of those rare fandoms where I really do like the canon level of sexuality, which is, well, low. And I liked canon Simone/Isaac, Matt/Janice, Nikki/D.L

Hi, I found this story over at ff.net and would have reviewed it there but the site doesn't want to play nice for some reason. Long story short, I enjoyed reading it so much I followed the link back here. Hopefully you won't mind my cut/pasting my review:

"This has a distinct cold atmosphere to it. It thaws a little as the story progresses and as we spend more time with Lucciola, and especially as he gets closer to Dio, but everything around them is frozen. It's quite a testament to what you've written that while he's one of the most aloof characters in the anime Lucciola becomes the most human presence we encounter in the fic without him ever breaking character. By the end when he takes Cicada's warning and makes it his own... yeah, that is such a nice touch and it just completes the emotional arc he's been describing throughout. I love it.

It's a real piece of work. Wonderfully written, minutely observed. It just won't get an atom of the accolade it deserves in the dormant Last Exile section at ff.net, sadly."
