Fic: Soft Rains

Dec 31, 2006 21:06

Everyone needs some evil Christmas carols before the year's out! (Now with part 2.)

Also, a little Dane Cook comedy, Bleach-style.Aaaand, New Year's Bleach fic. ^_^. It wasn't supposed to be New Year's-y, but it morphed into something I hadn't intended at the end. Fictions never ask me before they do anything. *sigh ( Read more... )

Oh my good lord. That was fantastic. It's been a long time since I read a decent Kurosaki fic, and I love it. So in character and cute, and for parts of it tears threatened to spill. So nice. Good job.

That was really good. I love how you show all the dynamics of the charcters and of the Kurosaki family as a whole. The sisters are beautifully characterised and your Ichigo always manages to be... emotional and yet himself. Which is quite a feat. You've got down his strength, his... isolation and also his touch of self loathing. He's actually a very insecure character in his own way, he just hids is REALLY well ( ... )

Thanks. ^_^ I like writing Ichigo emotional. I think he's a lot more emotional than he wants to let on -- but he lets on anyway, without noticing it, every time he lashes out. Even in the very first scene of both the anime and the manga, where he beats up some guys just because they knocked over a memorial vase. He helps people because he has an enormous capacity for love, it's just society tells him he can't love that much as a teenage boy. I think it's an awesome character to work with. ^_^.

Any how, the sisters reactions to this are just perfect. I'm a little suprised they arn't more suprised, but then they are his sisters, and both are pretty sharp cookies in their own way so... so perhaps they knew before he did. It's my experience that when it comes to boys of a certain 14-18ish age range, just about everyone knows before they do. Or maybe that's just the boys of my high school being more oblivious than I gave them credit for. XD But yeah, I thought about putting in ( ... )

Wow, just wow, and mindbendingly awesomefantasticwonderfulgreatmasterpiece.

That just touched on everything great and whole and so good about their dysfunctionality.
And I was yearning a good back home fic. Thank you.

*points to icon* I think that's Kenpachi's way of agreeing with your icon. XD

Thank you! I hoped the simultaneous wholeness and dysfunctionality came through; it's the incongruity that makes their family so cool. XD
