So here's the first part of the fic I've been working on for the last couple of weeks, which I've basically been calling my NaNo novel just because it's the longest thing I've worked on this month. About 15K total, I think (I haven't entirely finished part 3 yet, but it's getting there).

Simply nothing short of AMAZING. Snakecharmerfox recc'd this and I can see why. Gorgeously excecuted... lots of research and authentic detail given to filling out the Ishballan culture and the nomadic way of life they were forced into as refugees. Just WOW.
