life update

I got a job - although it doesn't feel like it. Sales associate at Books-A-Million. I interviewed a month ago, called them after two weeks of no word only to be told to come in last Tuesday for the evening shift, worked that one shift and then was told I would be called again when they had more hours to give me. It's been 8 days now with no call.

I am so with you on the Harry Potter thing. The girl who introduced me to it was my best friend in middle school, and we've never really talked since. I know she stopped reading it when it got "popular." Sometimes I wanna message her on facebook and just thank her for getting me into it, but she'll probably think I'm retarded.

PS- she's also the girl who got me Sabriel signed by Garth Nix, so... xD;

What's funny is that I resisted reading the first couple of books because I thought they were too popular to be good. (And they hadn't even really boomed yet.) What the hell, inappropriately snobbish 10-year-old self? Then a friend of my mom's sent me books 1-3 as a birthday present and I eventually had to read one out of obligation. Cue kicking myself forever.

Sad about the friend. Those are such awesome things she got you into, I'm sorry you can't still share them with her.
