I felt that way about the whole selling cookies/books/magazine subscriptions that we were encouraged to do as children. I hated it. I hated asking people for things I was pretty sure they would not want. I have basically never been a sales person. They told us it was developing valuable skills in capitalism, but I decided at the time that that was fucked.
