This is how I felt (and still do) when people asked me how I was doing the week my mom died. Even now when people ask me that with a sympathetic look on their face I want to respond with, "How do you think I'm doing?" But I figure that isn't the best option, and most of them truly have my best interest at heart and are genuinely concerned. I

i probably know almost the exact feelings you are having, and i remember getting really angry too. its hard though to say the right things and after some thought i decided i'd rather have people be thinking of me and my feelings than nobody saying anything at all. i wish there was a better way, but you definitely do rethink your personal responses to people going through a hard time after going through something of the like. i miss you
