A very small proposal rant

The proposal must go out tomorrow. Changes must be in by noon today.

Why is it that I have not yet received the proposal for review?

Oh, yes, because C. was supposed to review it last night, but couldn't be bothered to get to it.

Growl.

Oh, and Hi, mimerki! I seem to be in posession of your yesterday.

At least there's coffee. It could be worse.

Yeah, that sounds a lot like my last couple of days.

I love you. And I would happily hunt them down and beat them with rolled up newspapers if that would help. :)

This wouldn't be nearly so frustrating if C. had not first insisted loudly and adamantly that he be intimately involved in the review process, and then once involved, he completely neglected his responsibility (that he INSISTED ON IN THE FIRST PLACE)--probably in favor of an early bedtime, as he is often a stickler for his own perceived needs before anyone else's.

Yep, you guessed it. Still no proposal on my desk for review. At this point, I may not see it at all, and that will be a sad sad thing.

The thought of beating on C. (who is a quaker and pacifict) with a rolled-up newspaper, as though he'd just soiled the living room rug, makes me giggle madly.

Rolled up newspapers always make me think of the Pterodactyl Hunt, which is much more fun to do than to read about. I think I was always a monster of some kind. Maybe one year I was an adventurer...

Anyway. It's good stress buster!

Being entirely sympathetic to your position, I think my best action now is to offer you a Scotch on the rocks -- or straight if you'd rather. I think we have some Macallen 12-yr old around... ?
