Right, that's why I asked. It'd be awesome to do market-then-dinner, but alas, no markets here on Fridays. I think the nearest might be Richmond, a solid half-hour drive each way. Depending what you come up with, garden-then-dinner may also be a distinct possibility.
I am confused, which really is nothing new. Is dinner on Friday, or Saturday, or both? Friday is my normal day off, and I took Saturday off for Camel Humping, but am reconsidering my hike-worthiness.
Also, what can I bring? (I am hoping to bring my husband and his banjo, but we'll have to see what mood he's in...) On a somewhat related thought, do you guys do reiki, or have friends who do, and do you know anything about reiki helping depression and or bi-polar?
O hai! "fremily dinner" = Friday, with bodhi cooking. Also, there will be post-hike dinner Saturday, dunno who's cooking, probably me and whoever else feels moved to do so.
I wouldn't let hike-worthiness stop you from coming Saturday! but do what you feel is best. If you are coming for Friday dinner...maybe some wine that complements what bodhi posted below? (And I don't see trouble with bringing husbands or instruments on either night--if music is meant to happen, it will!)
Neither Tom nor I are reiki masters per se, but he has a little experience and may be able to answer questions about it.
We can get some bread from that bakery no too far from you. can't remember the name, but it looked good. We could do that Saturday morning market for Saturday dinner or lunch at the top.
Okay. Well, with the exception of zucchini, we can do the whole minestrone out of my garden, if you don't mind subbing beet greens for chard. Basil, onion, thyme are all here. I'll get more tomatoes @ the market today, though, as mine are still small/slow. La Brioche has good bread, or we can get some at the co-op across the street/river.
