and of course, once the corps own America, they'll use their freedom there to do the same thing to the rest of the 'free world'... I mean, the USA is already encysting insisting that everyone else has to have similar or identical DRM copywrong laws, that ISP's abroad have to install listening and recording gear to monitor emails and web activity so the FBI & CIA can keep tabs on everything passing though.

Of course, the good news is that the kind of future you're describing isn't stable, politically, sociologically, economically or ecologically.

The bad news is, when the crash comes it's going to be a stone cold bastard of an apocalypse... at least for a while.
