You know, even if I don't agree with your viewpoint, I'll read/listen to what you have to say. You are intelligent and do your reasearch well most of the time.
Boring? No, just not a whole lot to say right now. And that is cool.
I 'lost' you from my life for too long due to circumstances. I do not intend for that to happen again.
Ahhh, Grasshopper, did your mother not teach you that your gift, who you are, simply scares the hell out of some people, and angers some for no reason other than they don't have the guts to do what you do, or the talent to pull it off? Yes, you are opinionated. Sometimes you are even abrasive when you see something wrong and unfair. Those who block you because they don't agree with you are just scared, and also not willing to consider anything other than their own little protected way of life. It's their loss, my Ravan Beauty! Your creativity, insight, and deep desire to want equality and fairness for all often shows that you can think outside the box, further that you won't be put into any box, and that is wonderful. It can also threaten and frighten those who cannot function without very tight boundaries, walls and boxes, poor dears. They are the status quo ostriches. Let them be. Most are not really worth your time and will not come around no matter how hard you try, how hard you pound on their protective walls of

I tend not to friend people back unless a) we've spoken about friending, or b) I can identify them somehow. I've gotten too many Russian spam bot friendings. And then there was the great pkmorrison fallout. Anyone who sided with her regarding the blind friendings from the Russians got blitzed with unasked for friendings.
I do like to see what's going on in your life -- even if it's not so great. You have opinions and feelings. It's wonderful.
Defriending is one thing - LJ still has this stupid coupling of who you read with who can read your locked entries, and not everyone has time to set up reading filters. There are a few people I really wish would have someone else do it for them, because I know they don't want to read my LJ but I'd love to read their pagan stuff, or whatever. But blocking from commenting is another thing. I sympathize. Another reason to hope people migrate to DW where they can decouple the 2 things.
But as to the why, if it's not lack of time and computer-foo, who knows what it is. I doubt it's really about you.
And some people have "only friends may post" turned on by default, so you're not being personally blocked in those particular cases, but it's impossible to tell which is what.
