On a practical note -- look into the COBRA match in the stimulus, if your state has accepted the funds. It might save you some money. I think.

This - I just got notice that my last job rendered me non-elegable for this, but those I know who are getting it are saving a bundle. In some cases, paying less than they were paying as their contribution.
