Do I even want to go there?

THIS. I am passionate on the too expensive side of the argument, mostly because I go to events to watch my kid and that's low return for the money and huge effort to go to an event on my own with her. When C is at an event, I am fine with it as I get to participate in something.

When I was looking at the financials that are available on line, it amazed me how much more money the western Washington baronies had than anyone else - sometime 3 to 4 times more and aquaterra and dragons laire have more money than any of our principalities. Yes, the cost of living is higher over here, and both aquaterra and dragons laire put on huge demos that take immense amounts of time and energy -- it just makes me wonder if there is something we could do at a kingdom level that could fill the coffers, that would mimic what the western baronies are doing. No judging, just musing.

We often skip going to Tir Righ events because of the cost. For both of us, one of whom is with the kiddo, and a few hours of dropping by if we happen to be in town, we just can't justify $40.

A weekend at a regular campground makes me not mind camping events fees so much, but no day fee is frequently a deciding factor, with us deciding not to attend.

I'm not going to take this one on though! It sounds like a nightmare of angst.
