Nostalgia Friday ~ Cop Shows of the Seventies

In honor of Karl Malden who died this week (when will it end?) I'm honoring the Golden Age of Cop Shows, the 1970s. There was a detective show for every night of the week, and there was a different type of cop to appeal to everyone. All of these have great instrumental theme songs. They don't make shows like this anymore.

I live in a mountainous area where some driveways go straight up (and down), but I always got vertigo watching Streets of San Fran and the movie Bullitt. There is just no way I would ever drive a car there.

I am old enough to remember having watched all of those shows. Egads!! I remember Karl Malden from Streetcar Named Desire, Cincinnati Kid etc. 97 is a ripe old age. Good for him!!

I saw on the news he was married to the same wife for 70 years, too! That's amazing for a Hollywood actor.

WOW THESE bring back ALOT of memories...and YES I saw most, if not all of these programs..*hides head* I loved Hawaii five-o....~SIGH~

Me too! Our high school band used to play Hawaii 5-0 at all the football games - a real crowd-pleaser. :)
