Mysterious Spoilers For Half-Blood Prince!

Aug 05, 2008 06:15

First of all, HPANA has confirmed something I posted on HPN last week - that one frame from the Harry Potter Trailer appears to show Fenrir Greyback hiding in a field. I believe this is from the "Attack on the Burrow" that they have added to the beginning of the movie.

It's interesting that they describe Slughorn as "tragic" and that he'll be teaching DADA, not Snape. I wonder, will Snape's potions book be important in the film at all?

--"Apparently actor Jason Isaacs, so upset at being left to languish in chokey, appeared on bended knee in front of author JK Rowling at an awards dinner and begged to be let back in the action. Rowling then agreed to free him in the first chapter of the final novel."--

I didn't really believe this, so just looked it up - it sounds more like a joke than something serious: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/a108639/jason-isaacs-reveals-potter-doubts.html?imdb.

Jason Isaacs has told that story a couple of different ways, so I think it gets embellished each time he tells it. In the latest version he is down on his knees, but that's a new detail. *lol*

Oh that is interesting I had not noticed that.

Not trying to spam...but what the heck. Why would they give Slughorn the DADA job. I was looking forward to Snape playing that part. Hmm...That is odd.

Snape DOES have the DADA job. It's a glaring mistake. This article is poorly written and even more poorly edited and probably by someone who makes more money that I do. *head|desk*

Funnily enoufh, at first I read that as *Snape* = "tragic character who takes over the DADA job," but then I realized that for this movie, calling Snape "tragic" might be giving away too much too soon. So I saw that it was just an hack job of writing, actually.

Eeek! I'm sorry that the article has such a huge mistake! I didn't catch that due to sleep deprivation, but surely Slughorn teaches potions not DADA. There are pictures showing him teaching potions and handing Harry the Felix Felicis, aren't there?

I wonder if the writer of the article also misinterpreted what the Producers said about the end of the movie? They probably meant a big revelation about Snape, and not Harry, since Snape is the HBP.

OK, I've edited the post with notes about corrections to that piece.

I apologize because I didn't realize it was quite as stupid as it is.

If you want to mock it, be my guest. :)

Lol, I wasn't sure what to say about these things when I first read it, so I just shook my head at the idea of changing things like who is DADA teacher! Glad to see that's not the case.
And yay for Jason Isaacs. Of course I want to see more of him! Such a vicious evil Lucius.

Yeah, I saw this list and thought it would be something to talk about. I obviously didn't give it enought thought or I would have realized how misleading it is. *eyeroll*

Lucius will have alot to do in both DH movies, so I'm looking forward to that. I don't really "like" the character of Lucius, but I love Jason Isaacs.

I wish we had some pics of Narcissa and Spinner's End. That's what I'm looking forward to the most.
