Ya know, this last time I viewed it, it occured to me that this way, Snape does manage to save Lily's life after all. Which is nice for him, even if it contradicts the way time travel works in the HP universe (in my opinion).

Yes, that it should have ended.

No prophecy. Lily will still alive and most likely she marries Snape since James died in 5th year because of Dragonpox.

Much happier ending for the Prince.
