The (beginning of a) Patronus, the look he has in Dumbledore's office- shoulders down, clearly mourning, and then... the white light. *might be bawling now*

I'm SOOOOOOO happy to see Rickman talking freely about Snape now. This coupled with his joyful appearance at the Premiere- surrounded by chants from Snape fans. You could tell he was beaming about it.

LOVE!

I'm done having a seizure of fangirl proportions, so I can think coherently now... Oh God... the partonus, the white light (what was that BTW?)... Alan Rickman giving his opinion on Snape's character... It's too much... it was all absolutely breathtaking... only five day away!! It can't come fast enough! The tears threatened just watching this... I can't imagine what the movie will bring... thank you WB!!

I suspect the white light is the various seques between older and newer/ darker memories where the shapes are taking longer to form.

Someone on Chamber of Secrets Forum who has seen the movie said the white light might be a transition between the memories. I also heard from someone else that there is a bright light when Snape meets Dumbledore to tell him the Potters are in danger.

Magnificent. Well acted, beautifully drawn, a consummate actor breathing life into one of the most complex characters ever written.

And no, for all the nay-sayers and pearl-clutchers out there, I'm not confusing Alan Rickman and Severus Snape. The one portrayed his perception of the other. Severus Snape stands alone, and my imagination breathed life into him long before I saw any of the movies.

Mr. Rickman seems to have had the same perceptions of him that many Snape fans did.

Yes - he's a Snape fan too, "obviously." LOL

*sigh* FINALLY!

It bears repeating that throughout the series, Dumbledore's been advising Harry to trust Snape. Dumbledore did. Hagrid did. Problem is Harry doubted Dumbledore, and once one accepts Harry's point of view as unerring, Harry's mistaken assumptions become the truth. And now in this film as well as the book, Harry is going to find out how very wrong he was, and so are a lot of other people. It's about time!

I keep hoping that actually seeing the story on the big screen will bring it home to certain people. Probably too much to ask at this point since they have entrenched ideas, but by the end of this week, everyone will know what Harry tells Albus Severus. Don't you love that - it won't just be "that tiny group of Snape fans who ruin everything."

Ha - Snape is about to win the MTV challenge, too, with voters from all over the world. A Hermione fan in the comments was actually trying to accuse the Snape fans of cheating but she got smacked down with logic, since every character started out with an equal chance of winning. So just try to tell me that we are a "small group" now - bosh!

Well, I had to look. And I didn't see this patronus scene everyone's talking about, because, as a true Snape fan, I was so distressed by that silly confrontation with Harry. I have to say, I really don't like the way the movies have built up the "heroes" at the expense of other characters. Why give Snape Voldemort's lines, for heaven's sake?

My two cents!

It's at 2:27 on the video, in Dumbledore's office while Dan Radcliffe is talking. You just see the beginning of the Patronus.
