That Rickman clip was awesome. I've not watched the rest, because it feels like they are leaking the whole movie and I want to be swept away by *something* a week from Friday. Thanks for all these movie posts, your LJ is my fave place to get my HP news fix.

Aw, thank you! Yes, I think my daughter is as excited as I am, but we probably can't go together to watch it because she is in South Carolina for the summer and has already been home two weekends. *sigh*

I agree that they are leaking the whole movie. My next post is going to be the B-Rolls, which are more clips from the actual filming, so you might want to avoid those (although I love them!).

Oh good call about the look of "relief". Snape sees Harry is alive and ok and (now) among friends who will protect him. Wow. Rickman has so many layers.

I love his facial expressions in that scene. I went through it frame by frame and he carefully looks around at the crowd - his eyes never stop moving.

And that whispery "Now" is unforgettable. A new Snape classic! There's also a video out with an interview in which AR talks about Snape not raising his voice much, and you can hear that in this scene as well as his scenes with Voldemort.

I can't keep up with all the news - it will take the rest of the week to get this stuff posted here. And now reviews are coming out, and I suspect we will get some promo pics soon.

As someone pointed out at other site, there's a very brief look of relief from Snape when HP came out of the crowd.

Quickly changed into something like disdain or calculation, but yes, quite right!

I'm so happy they chose to show Snape at Hogwarts, actually being Headmaster. Is it just me or is Rickman playing this scene like Snape KNOWS Harry is in that crowd somewhere? I've always felt like Snape had a 6th sense whenever Harry was around.

Me too ~ that's a great point. I think it shows that Snape knows Harry well enough to realize he isn't going to let Hogwarts fall without being there. And he knows Harry wouldn't abandon his friends like Neville, Ginny, and Luna. That's because he and Harry are so much alike, don't you think? :)
