Bloomsbury has unveiled new book covers for the entire series. These will go on sale in November.

Not bad, but a bit of a departure from the previous style of the covers (both the UK and the US ones). They look more like children's books with these new covers, though.

Bloomsbury says they're for the 'new generation' but I can't see 9 yr olds being attracted to the books by these covers.

Book series go through this all the time. Another series I'm reading that started about the same time as HP is now on its third cover version.
