Butterscotch

To claim Butterscotch, your piece must take place a significant amount of time before your canon.

This is an opportunity to explore history and prior generations.

Butterscotch is not for the days, weeks, months, or even years of your characters' lives leading up to canon. It is not for their childhoods - that is whipped cream. It is for writing about before they were born, their parents' lives, their ancestors, the legends and history of your world.

You may use butterscotch for earlier points in the life of an immortal or excessively long-lived character that is part of your canon.
