It's roque_clasique's birthday! So I wrote a little something for her based on a prompt that she gave in a comment-fic meme in her LJ, in which she gets to give all the prompts. I thought it was a really fun idea, and this prompt grabbed my attention, so there we go.

The prompt spoke to me, and I figured Dean hadn't slid into this weird quasi-delinquency for the same reason that other kids do, so I just went with it. Good times. :)

Oh, yay! I am very glad that I wasn't deluding myself into thinking it was a good idea to slip those elements in. I'm a little bit fascinated with the paramilitary aspects of the Winchester's lives.

He's relieved because Sam won't find out what happened, right?

It has weechester drama, John and hurt!dean: the perfect SPN fic!

That's one interpretation.

My own take was that John figured out why Dean was stealing groceries, and that they both know he's going to "fix" it and neither of them is ever going to admit it out loud.

That being said, authorial intent is a moot point once the fic is out there and open to interpretation. :)

Awesome job. Loved the hell out of this. Loved the first theft eggsalad 'cause Sammy likes it but I loved when he got caught more. No, sir and yes sir and military all the way. So much so that the Sheriff notices.

Thank you. I am not a liar. I am many things, but not a liar. Also, I *wish* I was Roque's twin, I would kill to be able to write like she does. Also, I am seven years and three days older than she, so no dice there.

I am all sorts of pleased that people got a kick out of the military stuff. It was my first attempt at wee!chesters, so I was a bit nervous about getting it right.

To be truthful the liar thing is because I am envious. I am working on another prompt for Roque and have read it 10 times already and am still irritated.

But she is awesome so I will carry on!

BTW, you should do more wee!chesters...it is a good thing.

I am working on a longer fic (the deaf!Dean thing that is totally all Rocque's fault) which involves the wee!chesters a bit. So.

I think I may be doomed. ;)
