Title: Season To Taste
Prompt: This was written as part of the Secret Angels III fic exchange at
deancastiel. It got posted back in March
here, but the official reveal wasn't until today, so I had to sit on this for a while. The prompt, from

I think I was hyperventilating a teeny bit when I read this. Although, part of that may be due to the fact that my roommate is sick and I think she secretly is trying to spread her germs to me. But mostly it was because this was really good. Like really, really, awesomely well written. And pretty genius too- I love all the curses people come up with to inflict upon the boys, but this is really funny and sweet and yeah. And ahhhh! The curse making Dean all anxious and needing to take care of Sammy or else he’ll freak out! OMG that’s was just love right there. I mean, I was just happy that poor Sam wasn’t feeling well in the first place, because feverish!Sam is just too adorable, but that…that made it so much better. Oh and I love that fact that Dean can cook-like not with the curse I mean. Like, before, having to feed Sam and all.
Anyway, really nice job with this!

Coming up with fun curses is one of fandom's most awesome pastimes, I think. ;)
And it's always made sense to me that Dean would be able to cook.

This was both poignant and hilarious. We all know that Dean's got a mommy instincts, but to see them brought forth this way! And sick Sam being looked after properly, and Bobby driven to hiding in his study, and food as a vehicle for human relations...
Yes. Just yes.

I also figured Bobby would retreat in horror in the face of domestic!Dean.
Food as a vehicle for human relations? Absolutely. Best kind there is.

I love that Castiel's favourite food turns out to be porridge - although as the very occasional maker of a damn-fine chocolate souffle myself I think Dean should have tried that on him.

Damn. Now I want chocolate soufflé. I've only ever managed plain and cheese myself.
This was a fun piece of fluff to write, and nice break from the unrelenting angst I've been churning out. ;)
