Thank you very much! Reuniting Grace with Danno would have required another 5k minimum, and would have involved Rachel and Stan and a whole other mess of stuff that I didn't feel belonged in the story.

Doesn't mean I won't write something like it in the future, though. :D

Very nicely done. The two different points of view were well done. I loved Grace's faith in her "Uncle Steve". A follow up showing a reunion with Danno would be cool. Just sayin'....

Thank you very much!

A follow-up, like I said to someone else, would have had to involve Rachel and Stan and probably about 5,000 words more, and so I deliberately chose not to get into it.

I'm very happy you liked the rest of it! :)

Fantastic, I love it! You did a great job with Gracie's POV, and I loved the tenderness between her and Steve. The Five-0 family, I just- OH MY HEART. I'm with the others in finding myself yearning for a postscript wherein Danny returns to his baby girl, maybe from Danny's POV, even. Just, all of the heartsick worry and relief and love and gratitude... I HAVE ALL OF THE DANNO FEELS.

Absolutely nothing wrong with your title, by the way, as far as I can tell. ^_^ But if I wanted to be a jerk I could say something about mines....

Hee! Thank you.

I PULLED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MINES DIRECTLY OUT OF MY POSTERIOR. I should have put that in the author's notes. I know that normally there are complicated things like elevators and safety mechanisms, and probably I should have just set the whole thing in a cave instead. ;)

I'm glad you liked the rest of the story. :D

Oh no, everything about the mine seemed fine to me, I mean, I'm no expert on mines either. It's just that we don't actually have that kind of mine here. There's no coal or gold or anything like that to mine for. Any "mines" are really more like small quarries, open pits for quarrying gravel or crushed rock.

What she really wants, too, is for Danno to be here to tell Uncle Steve he's being ridiculous and to say that he'll get her a Mickey Mouse watch so that she'll learn to tell the time like a normal human being and not like some primate savage in the woods. BEST LINE XD

Loved this! Really well executed and I am a sucker for Steve and Grace interaction :D

Hee! Thank you. I enjoyed thinking of Danno yelling that line at Steve. ;)

I'm glad you liked it!
