Me too, sweetie! I loved it too! That was the only way that Dean could deal without falling apart into teeny, tiny pieces. I think what happened is that Cas took Sam's pain into himself but I can't wait to see the stories you spin out of this. It's something else wonderful to look forward to. Cas is not only our BA angel again, we've got our caring, hero Cas back as well!!
I am half avoiding the net like the plague b/c I DNW to hear the hate or the Cas zealots flipping their shit, and half GLEE BECAUSE OMG SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HAPPY LIKE MEEEE.
My personal theory is that, ok, like, the wall is just a wall, and it was meant to hold back Sam's memories of Hell, right? And the memories are the CAUSE that causes the hallucinations, which is the SYMPTOM. So, Cas couldn't rebuild the wall, so he took away the symptoms. But if the memories are indeed still there, the symptoms will slowly start coming back! :D
