What's wrong with second best?

It felt good to read an entire book today. Granted it was a quick read (Love Is a Mix Tape), but it was nice to have time to read again. I shed some serious tears throughout the second half of the book. It has me thinking a lot about music, people, love, and relationships among all of those things. Oh wow. You're really descriptive. I love it. = D you're not weird at all! You're just really passionate in music. I love that! I hope one day, I can be as passionate in music as that. Right now, not really, I'm too stuck in my problems. Great post by the way! X D

i totally get it every word you say here.

it is different with kids these days but it isn't. think about how you were during that span of time. it was real & it was everything. but you know that there were those in their mid-twenties looking at your place, your scene and saying that it isn't the same as it was, that these kids don't get music like they do, that they can't even try to listen to those bands that you lived for. i think that you and a bunch of us are a rare breed. and there are definitely kids out there now that have the same thing that we have/had. they have the same part of them that changes when then pick up a record. they won't see the attractive lead singer or the bizarre trend, but they will feel that connection. that something in the music that will change their lives. that something that they will just get.

and that is what keeps it all going.
