SG-1 10x03 Pegasus Project...

I liked this one a lot. While I would have preferred for Atlantis to be more cut off from earth for the overall story arc, I do enjoy such crossover episodes in themselves. I mean, Cameron on Atlantis! *brief moment of squee!* And the poor guy apparently got to hear a lot about Rodney from Sheppard either directly or in reports or both, and lots of good things and heroic tales too, if now Cam expects *Rodney* to come up with some impossible thing when Sam doesn't.

And the whole lemon thing was priceless. But then I think Sheppard and Mitchell go well together like chocolate and peanut butter no matter what (well, I'm not a big peanut butter fan, but I don't think "like chocolate and hazelnuts" has quite the same ring as a saying to it). Also I really liked the Sam and Rodney parts. I thought it was very cute how Rodney thanked Sam for appearing in his hallucination, and Sam's "Was I naked?" reaction was great too.

And while I'm not a big Daniel fan, I liked the scenes with him and Vala, though Vala was a big part of that. I really enjoyed her calling that Ascended Ancient on their hypocritical not-quite non-interference policy, and that Daniel got angry with the Ancients overall.

Am I the only one who thought it was somewhat creepy that an Ancient camouflaged herself as an hologram on Atlantis all this time? And she didn't do much to prevent their bumbling disasters that happened due to the Ancients letting their dangerous toys lie around without adequate protections and/or instructions either. The more I see of them, the more the Ancients creep me out.

And they really do use nukes for everything in the SG universe, don't they? It's like those cleaning agents from the late night commercials, just one pot of whatever and it supposedly cleans anything from clothes, to cars, to carpets, to furniture, to toilets... Still, for the most part I liked the techno babble and imaginary science in this episode.

And of course I loved the nod towards Farscape when Cam suggested a slingshot maneuver. Heh.
